Youth Center

There are many reasons the Youth Center may be your best reception hall choice. Our rates are among the lowest in the area, and you have greater flexibility in planning your event. You choose the food, beverages, decorations and set-up. There is no additional fee for these because you do it.

The Youth Center is a 4,250 square foot facility that can easily accommodate groups of 225 people. Chairs are available and there are an assortment of five-foot and six-foot long banquet tables and card tables. A kitchen with an oven and microwave is included with a refrigerator and a disposal.

NOT PART OF THE RENTAL: stage, gymnastics equipment (including all mats) and the stairs and upstairs of the Youth Center.

The Youth Center is not air-conditioned, however wall-mounted fans are available for your use.

ALL rentals of the Youth Center will require the renter to provide the City of Kendallville, Park and Recreation Department with a Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Kendallville, Park and Recreation Department as an additional insured with a liability limit of $1,000,000.00.

Smoking and alcohol is not permitted in the building and on the property.

Your rental period is for 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

Rates are as follows:

General Rental
- Residents - $200.00 plus $200.00 cash deposit
- Non-Residents - $250.00 plus $200.00 cash deposit
Open to the Public Rental
- $250.00 each day plus $200.00 cash deposit
- Certificate of liability required for $1,00,000.00
Rental is from 8 am till midnight. No renter shall be in the building from midnight to 8 am.

Reservations

Reservations may be made at the Park office. Half of the facility rental fee must be paid to reserve the facility. The remainder may be paid immediately before your event. Your cash deposit will be returned following your event if all keys are returned and the building is left in the shape it was turned over, clean and with no damage. The renter is legally responsible for all repair and cleanup costs.

Cancellations

Cancellations prior to 90 days of reservation date will be fully refunded. Cancellations after 90 days will NOT be refunded, but you do have an option for rescheduling for the same calendar year.

The Youth Center is not air-conditioned, however, fans are available for your use.
