We provide the following services for the City of Kendallville and Wayne Township of Noble County protecting approximately 62 square miles with nearly 14,000 residents.
The Kendallville Fire Department offers adult classes in American Heart Association CPR, First Aid and AED training. The Fire Department also teaches fire safety to over 900 elementary children year. The Kendallville Fire Department also provides mutual aid assistance to all the Fire Departments of Noble County and the neighboring communities in DeKalb, LaGrange, Steuben and Allen Counties along with specialized training and technical support upon request.
The Kendallville Fire Department has an ISO rating of 5 for the City.
The Kendallville Fire Department's primary financial support is provided by the taxpayers of the City of Kendallville and Wayne Township. However, due to budgetary limitations of these governmental agencies, the Kendallville Fire Department raises additional funding through special fund raising activities such as fire extinguisher sales and service, pancake breakfasts, fund drives and grants to purchase additional fire/rescue/medical equipment and training to improve essential emergency services it provides to the community and surrounding area.
